Dear Simon,

Just a note to say how pleased I am with the alterations you carried out to my cottage.

I must admit that I was not looking forward to the old lathe and plaster ceiling coming down as it is a very dirty job but was impressed with the care that was taken to keep the cottage as clean as possible. I am also delighted that all the ugly plumbing and cables have now been concealed.

The design and quality of the kitchen and the way it has been fitted is excellent, even down to the way your carpenter scribed the plinths to the uneven flagstone floor.

The redesign of the utility room and shower room has made much better use of the space available, I would not have thought that just by moving a wall it would have created such a usable room, The tiling and underfloor heating is brilliant and by installing a new upvc back door and fitting proper insulation to the ceiling it has made a huge difference.

I will be in touch within the next week or two to discuss the options that may be available to create an en-suite bathroom and redesign my master bedroom.

I have recommended you to a friend of mine who needs an extension for a kitchen and bedroom above.
